往灣洲原名為「汪灣洲」，位於新界東北部的島嶼，是船灣郊野公園(擴建部分)的一部分。島上最高山峰為往灣北頂，高度海拔154米，另外往灣西頂則為136米。往灣洲的西面及北面是印洲塘，西南面是紅石門水道，東北面則是被直門頭水道相隔的娥眉洲。往灣洲昔日有往灣、老沙田、大洲渡及東灣等村落，惟現已荒廢，只有一所外展訓練學校設立至今。
Double Island is an island located in northern east side of New Territories, it is a part of Plover Cove (Extension) Country Park. Wong Wan Pak Teng is the highest point in Double island, it is 154m high, the peak at the western side (namely Wong Wang Sai Teng) is 136m high. In the Island, there are old abandoned villages namely Wong Wan, Lo Sha Tin, Tai Chau To and Tung Wan, while the Outward Bound is opened till now.
